Program and Service Patrols

The Service Patrol has responsibility for general camp cleanliness, to lay and extinguish all camp fires, set up and take down for all Troop Meetings, erect the flagpole at camp outs, and assist the Quartermaster as required.

The Program Patrol has the responsibility for flag ceremonies at all meetings, raising and lowering flags at camp outs, assisting in the preparation and conducting of Scout’s Own Service, and conducting the campfire program at camp outs.

The Service and Program Patrols serve on a monthly rotation, with transfer of duty occuring at the end of each camp out. 6 month rotation of patrols is determined by the SPL as soon as practical upon taking office. A handbook, substantively duplicating this information, is available from the librarian with materials to help the each patrol perform their duties.
