Pack 440 Information

Dues

Dues are still $45/year. Dues cover National dues, Boy’s Life subscription, Unit insurance, Leader training, Pinewood Derby car, and awards.

Uniforms

Scouts must wear a Class A uniform to Pack meetings; Class A or Class B uniforms can be worn to Den meetings. Class A uniform is the blue shirt (optional tan for Webelos), rank neckerchief, slide, any short or pant, and any shoe. Scout socks, cap, belt, short, and pant are optional. Class B uniform is any Scout T-shirt with any pant and any shoe. Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniform to school on days when there is a Den or Pack meeting. Uniforms and Scout books are available at the Scout Shop, 7540 Ed Bluestein Blvd.

Form for using Scout Bucks!

Here is a form for you to use to spend scout bucks. Scout bucks are earned by selling popcorn. They can be spent on any scout related activity. That includes, campouts, resident camp, and big events like or trip to the USS Lexington, or NASA. Complete the form and present it to the treasurer. You can also use scout bucks for reimbursement for items purchased at the scout shop (you will need the receipt and the form to give to the treasurer).

Internet Scout Pin

The U.S. Scouting Service Project encourages Scouts and Scouters from around the world to learn about the Internet and how to use the Internet safely. Scouts and Scouters that have earned the Internet Scout Patch may wear it proudly as a temporary patch on the Scout Uniform. Requirements can be found at http://usscouts.org/internetscoutpatch.asp

Committees

There are many committees which help run the Pack. Please consider participating on a committee – this is a great way to get involved with your Scout and have a lot of fun! Some of the committees are Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, & Space Derby. Contact your Scout’s den leader or Cubmaster for more information.

We are also in need of a Committee Chair, Den Leader Coach, & Treasurer. These are essential positions on the Pack committee – come join us!

Pack Chuck Box

The Pack is hoping to put together a chuck box that can be used for Pack and Den campouts. If you can help donate towards this endeavor please contact the Cubmaster.

1 - Lantern tree (tee for stove & lantern from propane bottle)
1 - Tables, plastic topped
1 - Camp coffee pot
3 - Plastic dish tubs
Miscellaneous knives, spatulas, serving spoons, cutting board, etc.

Communications Technique

A special mailing list has been developed for Pack information communications. If you would like to be on this list send a note to the Cubmaster.

When you send an item to the list, everyone on the list receives it. If you have a specific reply, please make sure you send only to the intended receiver and not the whole list.

The remailer will allow you to subscribe to a mailing list for the pack. Keep an eye on your email for instructions on how to subscribe and use the list. If you don't see the instructions soon contact the Cubmaster.
