Cub Scouting
A family- and home-centered program for boys in the first through fifth grade (or7, 8,
9, and 10 years old). Cub Scouting's emphasis is on quality program at the local level,
where the most boys and families are involved. Fourth- and fifth-grade (or 10-year-old)
boys are called Webelos (WE'll BE LOyal Scouts) and participate in more advanced
activities that begin to prepare them to become Boy Scouts.

- Positively influence character development and encourage spiritual growth
- Help boys develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship
- Encourage good sportsmanship and pride in growing strong in mind and body
- Improve understanding within the family
- Strengthen boys' ability to get along with other boys and respect other people
- Foster a sense of personal achievement by helping boys develop new interests and skills
- Show how to be helpful and do one's best
- Provide fun and exciting new things to do
- Prepare boys to become Boy Scouts

Cub Scout Packs in the Lake Travis Area
There are currently three packs in the Lake Travis Area

What do Cub Scouts Do?
Tigers - 1st Grade
Bobcat - Graduating Tiger Cubs, 2nd Grade or above,
Wolf - 2nd Grade
Bear - 3rd Grade
Webelos - 4th Grade
Arrow of Light - 5th Grade, (must earn Webelos badge first)
